Description

For your consideration is a timeless, and Iconic 1962 Buick Electra 225 Convertible. She is equipped how you would want with the factory Buick 401 Nailhead V8 engine, Turbine Drive Automatic Transmission, power steering and power brakes. This is something that could be driven and enjoyed for the next 10 years the way it is, or could be a great opportunity to take it to the next level and make a good profit reselling. Shes not that far away from being a high end car. This beauty is not a trailer queen or a Barrett Jackson $100k restomod. However, shes not a set out in the middle of a field with the grass grown up around her. This is a super solid car at every angle. The Red paint is Maaco driver quality from 15 years ago but as you can see in the pics shines at any angle. Its got depth and gloss, some flaws and battle scars, but still shows well. To put it simply, its just a cool old cruiser. I call this kind of car a block-or-more, or a 10 footer. From 10 feet away, it looks like a $50k Show car. Undercarriage is very clean, straight, & finished in flat black and a light undercoat consistent with a factory finish. Still retains its original floors and trunk and looks good. The car had a mishap in the garage, which dented the hood and the drivers side front fender needs adjustment. The drivers door still opens and closes as it should, and hood operates normally. Please refer to the pictures. She rides, drives, and handles like a much newer vehicle; straight down the road with no shimmies, shakes, or vibrations. Extremely tight and surprisingly easy to drive for what it is. I would not hesitate to get behind the wheel of this car with my family and drive it to a car show even a few days a week. A person of any size or age could drive this vehicle comfortably. Its an absolute blast to drive. I've had $100,000 cars in the past that didn't get nearly the attention this Buick receives. All of the lights, turn signals, brakes, gauges, wipers, etc are functioning properly. Engine fires right up and has that iconic Nailhead sound. Transmission shifts as it should, smooth with no grinding or slipping. Doors fit nice and have that distinct sound when they close. The Black interior shows well, and appears to be original. A new top was done about 6 years ago. Top works and had a new motor installed a few years ago. It was 35 degrees the other day that I took pics, so couldn't put the top down all the way with risk of cracking the back window. Also included in the sale is a trunk load of extra parts! Belts, hoses, paint, hubcaps, trim, bezels, distributors, brakes, and more! At least $500 or more parting out online if you choose. Overall, this Buick is a great opportunity to get behind the wheel of a pretty much turnkey car that is low maintenance and can be driven and enjoyed at an affordable price point. Whether you're looking for an everyday driver, something to work on and build a show car in stages as you drive, or a business write off , this Beauty can do it all!! Turn key, drive home today, ready to enjoy immediately! RE-LIVE THE GLORY DAYS!! Use for promotion and write it off as a business expense!! Rent out for weddings or events! You're only limited to your imagination
